How to select aspheric lens

When selecting an aspheric lens

, you need to know the following parameters of the product to find a product that is really suitable for you. The following small series will introduce in detail how to select an a

spheric lens

·Design wavelength: make the lens reach the wavelength of ABCD. The lens can also be used at other wavelengths. Contact Lynn and the company to find out how the lens works at other wavelengths.

·Numerical aperture (NA): a value that measures the large angle of light Zui acceptable to the lens.   NA = sin ( Φ)

·Luminous aperture (CA): according to the design, the light can pass through the Zui large diameter of the surface. Smaller than the actual spherical diameter, i.e. physical aperture (PA).

·Effective focal length (EFL): the distance from the main plane to the focal point. The normal tolerance is ± 1%.

·Magnification: the ratio of image size to physical size. The calibration lens is unrestricted.

·Effective value of wavefront error (RMS WFE): the measured value of color difference (error) in the lens. Diffraction limitation means that due to diffraction, the lens meets the theoretical limitation (the achievable Zui high operation level in accordance with the physical laws).

·Outer diameter: the diameter of the outer cylinder of the lens, with a standard tolerance of ± 0.015mm.

·Working distance (WD): also called back focal length (BFL), it indicates the distance from the back of the lens to the focus.

·Thickness: the thickness in the axial direction of the lens.

Characteristics of aspheric lenssuperior to spherical lens:

·Anspheric lenscan replace the combination of multiple spherical lenses, thereby reducing the number of parts.

·Fewer lenses in the system means less assembly and alignment, saving labor time.

·The less number of lenses in the system means that the light will irradiate less lens surface, reducing back reflection and improving the optical transmission in the whole system. A smaller number of lenses means a smaller and lighter system.
